Overtime

But not all OT games are created equal --

Nov 2008, Maryland beat Vermont in OT, 89-74. Maryland tied the game with 6 seconds to go in regulation and apparently sapped all the strength and enthusiasm from Vermont who was ahead most of the second half. Md outscored Vt 17-2 in OT!

That's the most lopsided OT I've witnessed. Any others?

The varsity game I alluded to above, actually. Home had tied it with a couple seconds left after trailing by almost 20 late in the 2nd quarter. Score ended up 70-55 in OT. Home won 15-0 in OT, lots of free throws.

Mark Padgett really loves OT because he just loves wearing his black and white striped velvet officiating shirt and black satin hotpants with black fishnet stockings and black patent leather officiating shoes with 6" stilletto heels.

Actually, the shoes are leopard skin and have 9" heels - and they have nothing to do with overtimes, unless the coaches "misbehave", if you know what I mean. 🙄

As I currently do mostly boys High School games, I hope and pray that I never see any of the male coaches in that.

P.S. How did you like my Mark Padgett impersonation in replying to SAK?

And Mrs. Padgett refers to Mark as Mr Slump Buster 😃😃😃

No, at my age it's, "Mr. Is That A 60 Second Or A 30 Second?". 🙁

I think Mrs Padget uses the NCAAW TO mechanic to call for a substitution 😃😃😃 rather than waste a precious 30 seconds

Yeah - but the problem is that the subs never have their shirts tucked in - maybe 'cause they're not wearing any. 😉
