backcourt on throw in

Ref Daddy

Expanding the question a bit..... I think I miss these. Its a blend of interrupted dribble, control and FC/BC.

A1 near center circle dribbling. Your signaling & counting closely guarded. B1 swats at ball - makes solid contact. Before going to Backcourt ball rattles around legs and arms like a pinball machine, then appears in backcourt -

A) A1 first to touch it in Backcourt
B) B1 first to touch in Backcourt
c) Ball rolls OObounds in backcourt

If I'm not sure whose leg was touched last before it went to backcourt, I'm no-calling this.

Unless one team is more than 30 points ahead. Then the team that's behind gets it. Just kidding!

Got that right Juulie! If I don't know for fact that A1 touched it last, then either team can go after it. In sit. "c", I'd go to the arrow.....

The directionality of the players can help in who touched it last. It is kind of difficult for a player standing by a boundary slapping the ball AWAY from the boundary to cause the ball to cross that boundary.

It is not a 100%, because the ball may glance off them, but it should become part of the equation on these types of plays.

I was watching a varsity game the other night where just this thing happened. A veteran official whistled on an OOB. His very words were "I'm not sure who's ball it is so we'll give it to Blue. They're behind" It was late in the game and about 35 points difference. This official is well known in the area as being very good, but also very laid back.

Gasp. BZ may be coming down with MTD Sr. disease. He's starting to show the symptoms. We may have to have him spayed. 😀

Spayed means removing the ovaries.

Neutered is not gender specific by definition, but is generally considered castrating a male.

Spayed, neutered, castration, eunuch and Bushref getting banned all in 24 hours...😃
