Forest Ump ASA Men’s slow pitch. R1. Batter takes a walk. R1 request a courtesy runner as he's walking towards 2nd. R1 never touches 2nd as the CR comes out and takes 2nd. The umpire calls out the runner when he gets to the dugout. Can the official make that call? Wouldn’t the defense have to appeal that he never touched 2nd to get this out? What's the proper ruling on this?
