Throws Enthusiasts,

The July '02 edition of the Long & Strong Throwers Journal went out in Friday's mail. This issue features American Record Setter Anna Mahon on the cover. Below is the Table of Contents for this issue. LSTJ is available for $20 ($24 US for foreign) a year, or $100 ($120 US for foreign) for 16 back issues plus the upcoming year through July, 2003. Back issues are available for $5.00 per copy. Subscriptions are payable to Glenn Thompson (3604 Green Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110). I take checks as well as credit cards. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to drop me a line. Visit the website at www.longandstrong.com and click on the magazine cover, or e-mail me ([email protected] ) for more information!

This is the biggest issue yet, with 56 pages, 40% larger than the standard 40. With each issue I set out to improve the product. To that end, I need your support. The larger the readership, the bigger the budget and the better the product. The more contributors/writers, the better the product. LSTJ is probably the only magazine of its kind. Although this is my project, I believe I am in partnership with the readership. We throwers often complain and moan about the lack of exposure for our events in print and television. Here is a publication geared just for you…please get behind it!

Thanks to everyone who has given LSTJ a chance and supported it thus far! The journey has only just begun….I never would have made it this far without you!!! Do me a favor and give a few shout outs on The Ring and let people know what they are missing!

For those who are the least bit curious, I have posted the January ’02 (Al Oerter) issue on the Long & Strong site in Abode Acrobat .pdf format. You can find it on the site, or plug in http://www.longandstrong.com/lstjv4I3.pdf into your browser, or click here. You’ll need Adobe Acrobat to open it. It is a fairly large file (2.3 MB).

Train Your Brain!!!
