Unhappy

Where did the time go? The regular season is now over. Now I have about a month before my basketball season starts. Just when I feel like I get the hang of things, the season ends.

Peace

It's still hot down here

Would you believe it's Oct 22 already, and the temperature, at game time was 87*F, humidity 100%, rain, no wind. The game took almost 3 hours to complete.

The WH went down with a twisted knee, so we reverted to a four-man crew. Over 800 yards of offense, combined, final score 42-12.

The visiting QB suffered a dislocated hip, no ambulance on-site, he had to lay there for 35 minutes before they arrived.

I suggested that both teams do some stretching before we resumed. Every other play some player was going down with cramps.

Ahh, just two more weeks left of the regular season, then 5 weeks of playoffs, ending Dec 10-11 in the Louisiana Superdome.

Ain't Friday nights great.

I will work the first round as a fill in for a very good crew. So I do have one more week at the very least. I just always wonder what happen to the season. It always feels like we just started; now it is basically over.

Peace

Considering I didn't do my first game until September 23, it's been even shorter for me! I have two more middle-school games on Wednesday afternoon, and then I'm done.

However, you guys doing the playoffs will be in the snow before too long, and us rookies will be warm inside doing basketball.

That might be the case for those that work a State Final, but for folks like myself, I will be inside with you. State Finals here are always the weekend after Thanksgiving. I am far from that point in my career.

Peace

You never know, you might get to operate the clock, or hold the chains! I'll be inside with you guys too, so no worries there.
