Kansas v Kentucky Foul Called On Blocked Shot (Video)

10:28 remaining in second half. Block shot. Jay Bilas called it mostly leather than changed his mind and called it all leather.

This was a depressing game to watch as my mother's beloved Kansas Jayhawks were just out played every which way one could imagine. But Joe DeRosa looked good (of course all of us Italians look good, we just keeping better with age like a fine Italian wine).

Move along, nothing to see here...

I thought it might have been called on #12 since he does get the forearm a little. Then I saw in the PBP it was on #00. Ah well...

Maybe he was feeling sorry for the Jayhawks.

I agree that 12 does slightly get the shooter's forearm. But, Lead seems to have a great angle and has nothing. From Trail's position I think I'd pass on any call.

*I agree, it was a "condolescence call", legal blocked shot, refs were feeling sorry for those jayhawks.

Kentucky was penalized for playing defense--which takes the whole notion [and mantra] of "referee the defense" to an absurd level.
