RA mechanic

What is the proper way for your preliminary signal when a basket goes on a block play because of a foot in the RA?
Fist->block->count the bucket-> point to the RA?
Fist-> bucket -> block-> point?
Other variations and opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I would Fist > blocking signal > point to RA > count the bucket.

The block-RA signlas go together. It means "I have a block (only because the player was in the RA)"

So, how would you signal a made basket and a non-RA block? Same answer, except add the RA signal.

The order should be...

1. Foul
2. Whether the goal is good
3. Block
4. RA

Put it this way, after you call the foul what's the next thing everyone in the building wants to know? Whether the goal counts. Then, as Bob said, follow with the block and RA signals.

Did you join the NCAA arbiter site yet? I cant speak for what they do on the women's side, but on the men's side, once you are a member, you get access to most if not all of the video John Adams has posted over the years. There are good videos there of people making RA calls.
