Dear Sir Flops-alot,
Quit your whining. Sincerely, An observer All of that demonstrating and posturing does no one any good and just continues to solidify his reputation for some. There is so much contact in the NBA......Heat and Lebron fans won't like the call, and the anti-Heat and Lebron haters will think it's a good no-call.

Looks like he knocked the hand off the ball rather than knocking the ball off the hand.

Even in the close up behind the basket view, the block clearly seems to happen first. I got nothing but a block and game over. Touching the hand or even arm after a block is not a foul to me. That is incidental contact.
Peace

The only questionable part is Joe Johnson's contact with James right as he is taking off. The block is clean...and it really isn't even close.

Great video jeremy.
I have a good block and view subsequent contact incidental.

Only if the part of the hand he hit was on the ball.
I believe that the purpose of the rule you're alluding to is to prevent a player with the ball from blocking access to the ball with their hands and to allow the defender to play the ball without worrying about where the hands might be located ON the ball, not to make hands fair game just because some other part of the hand is in contact with the ball. If the hand were moved out of the way, would the defender have hit the ball instead of the hand?
