Crowd rushes court
Great game - cross town rivals - white beat blue by 30 earlier in season...3 man vb...
Close game all night - Blue 52 White 51 ... white fouls blue with .1 left on clock -now shooting one and one. Blue makes 1st ft - now 53-51. I am C and see the coach tell kid to miss on purpose. He winds up and throws the ball missing the rim - but the buzzer goes and the crowd rushes the floor... I report to my R that we have a violation. He instructs the clock to buzz buzz buzz and the ad gets the kids back off the court in 30 seconds. As we get ready - we see our white coach all the way down the floor to our end questioning our lead why we aren't going to give a T to the hometeam crowd. How would you handle? We escorted him back to the bench and told him he would get the T if he didn't get back - we explained that the buzzer went off sending the fans onto the court and that we had to administer a throw in with the .1 left.

Probably the same way you handled it. But I doubt I would ever give a T to the crowd for this.
Peace

I'm not handing a technical foul here. I would of handled the play the exact same way. Get the crowd off the court and finish the .1 seconds left in the game.

You can't "T" a bench because a fan comes onto the court. Would you "T" a team because a mad mother rushes the court because her child was fouled hard? No. The coach has no jurisdiction over this. Just about the only exception is when fans throw objects on the court...and then you need to issue a warning first. |

Agree ...
Just because you can doesn't mean that you should.

Agree, no T is necessary. Get the people off the court, finish the game, and go home and have a beer.
