Hope this guy

1) gets a conviction on assault with all necessary fines, probation, or jail

2) finds a good torts attorney. He need to prove the intentional tort and can get damages including punitive damages. This guy wont have the money after the punitive dmages to sign his kid up for recreational hop scotch because heis compensating the guy for his medical issues and to be punished for this stupidity

The attacker will most likely just declare bankruptcy and spend 7 years or so in credit purgatory. If he has a job, they could always get a judgement and garnish his wages.
The AC should have insurance that would cover an incident like this.
